Sangareddy: The United Kingdom Sports Department, Youth Sports Trust and UNICEF have joined hands to bring sports facilities and physical education infrastructure to Medak district under the first ever pilot project in the whole country. Children in this backward will learn from coaches and physical education trainers from the UK.
This was disclosed by Debbie Lye of the UK Sports, Judith Hemery of the British Council, London, Alan Bell, international manager of Youth Sports Trust and State representative of the UNICEF Michel Saint Lot in a joint press conference here on Wednesday.
No need for stadium
Speaking to reporters, Debbie Lye said villages need not have sports stadia for participation in the programme, as the programme was aimed at creating a space to play.
