Mumbai: The Mumbai Cricket Association’s Cricket Academy, with a state-of-the-art indoor school and gymnasium, is likely to get off the ground in September at the Bandra-Kurla Complex, near the domestic airport. The MCA is one among the many member-units of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), that are in the advanced stage of setting up academies before the start of the 2007-08 domestic season. The MCA would finalise a tie-up with the Chennai-based MRF Pace Foundation and also model its academy incorporating some of the logistical aspects from the Loughborough University-based England and Wales Cricket Board’s Cricket Academy and the Brisbane-based Australian Cricket Academy. — Special Correspondent
