International money transfer

Thiruvananthapuram: The Department of Posts has opened an international money transfer facility at the Railway Mail Service office in Thampanoor.

The department has tied up with Western Union to make the service hassle free for the public. The service will be round the clock. Those receiving payments will have to produce a credible photo identity card. Chief Post Master General Uday Balakrishnan will inaugurate the service on Friday.
