Lohardaga: Two persons, including a policeman, were killed and three others injured when a mob clashed with the police over a disputed land at Dhanmunji in Lohardaga district, a senior police officer said on Thursday. Getting information that a villager was being beaten up in the village, a police posse went to the spot around late on Wednesday night, Superintendent of Police, Subodh Prasad told newsmen here. As the police party reached the spot, a mob attacked it using rocks as missiles forcing the police to open fire killing one Jitram, he said. Thereafter, the mob let loose its fury on Hawaldar Ganesh Ram who succumbed to his injuries, Prasad added.
