Encroachments removed in Malayandahalli tank

Remedial action: PWD officials removing encroachments in the Malayandahalli tank near Krishnagiri on Thursday. —

Krishnagiri: A team of officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), accompanied by a posse of police personnel removed encroachments at Malayandahalli tank near here on Thursday.

Acting on instructions from Collector Santhosh Babu, these encroachments, which blocked the inlets of the tank, were removed.

PWD officials issued warnings to vendors and farmers who had encroached on the tank and those who failed to respond to it were evicted.
