Rain at some places

NEW DELHI: Monsoon has been active in east Uttar Pradesh.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainl y dry in the rest of the region. The Chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: HIMACHAL PRADESH: Baijnath and Ghamroor 1 each, JAMMU AND KASHMIR: Basholi 4 and Jammu 3, PUNJAB: Rajnitsagardam 3, EAST RAJASTHAN: Shahpura 4, Aklera, Bansur, Kotputli and Malsisar 2 each and Alwar, Bayana, Bari, Dabla, Kathumer and Talabshahi 1 each, EAST UTTAR PRADESH: Uskabazar 11, Chandradeepghat and Regoli 10 each, Khalilabad 9, Bansi, Basti and Kakrahi 6 each, Ayodhya, Ghazipur and Mukhlishpur 5 each, Birdghat, Gorakhpur, Khadda and Turtipar 3 each, Balrampur and Kakardharighat 2 each and Ballia, Gonda and Sultanpur 1 each, UTTARANCHAL: Uttarkashi 4, Banbasa, Hardwar and Rishikesh 2 each and Dehradun 1.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 21st JULY 2007: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 21st JULY 2007: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy with possibility of thundry development towards evening/ night in some areas.
