Narayana trains guns on State

Staff Reporter

JANGAREDDYGUDEM: CPI State secretary K. Narayana on Thursday trained guns on the State Government for subjecting him and the other 16 leaders from his party to the `excess’ by the police in Koyyalagudem area recently.

Mr Narayana was summoned to attend the Judicial First Class Magistrate court here in connection with the trial of a case of assault on the Koyyalagudem Mandal Revenue Officer in which he was arrested and jailed recently.

Speaking at a rally, he said the charge of assault on the MRO was fabricated by officials in a bid to cover up their alleged connivance with landlords. He accused the district administration of muzzling the voice of opposition parties. Mr Narayana said his party would launch an indefinite fast in Hyderabad on July 22 demanding redemption of Government lands from the possession of landlords.
