MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro led capital goods and infrastructure stocks on the bourses on Thursday after the company posted strong first quarter earnings, pushing the Sensex to record high.

The key benchmark BSE Sensex climbed 248.96 points at 15550.13 after hitting an all-time high of 15593.31.

Larsen & Toubro posted 139 per cent spurt in net profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal at Rs. 376.85 crore, triggering buying even in other counters.
