Ramya, Madhumita advance

Coimbatore: Ramya of Cuddalore and N.V. Madhumita of Coimbatore scored hard-fought wins to enter the under-10 girls’ singles quarterfinals of the Tamil Nadu State-ranking junior badminton tournament held here on Thursday.

Ramya defeated local girl S. Anushwara 23-21, 8-21, 22-20 while Madhumita scored beat A. Adlin Sherin 21-16, 21-23, 21-17.
