Santosh and Srinivas excel

HYDERABAD: A century by V. Santosh Kumar (110 not out, 11 x 4) and fine bowling by G. Srinivas (six for 70) were the highlights for Syndicate Bank in it’s drawn encounter against VST in the A-1 Division (two-day) league cricket here.

The scores: A-Division (three-day) league: SCRSA 407 for nine drew with Ensconse 159 and 289 for seven (Mohd Azharuddin 80, Ranveer Banerjee 69, Yaseen 52).

A- 1 Division (two-day): Syndicate Bank 404 (Asad Ali 62, V. Santosh Kumar 110 not out, M.A. Javeed 57, Naseer four for 116, Asif four for 106) drew with VST 194 (S.A. Arif 40, M.D. Asif Khan 78, G. Srinivas six for 70).

Visaka 182 (Shylesh Mutha 82) and 114 (Pavan Yadav 41, G.Varun eight for 49) lost to R. Dayanand 358 for six decl (Eshwar Prasad 168, V. Vamsi Ram 80 not out).

CCOB 333 (Habeeb Ahmed 71, Hemanth Dillikar 41, M.A. Shakeel 44) and 183 for five (Habeeb Ahmed 78, J. Akbar 61) drew with SA Sports Amberpet 146 (Kiran 51 not out, M.A. Shakeel five for 41).

PKCC 101 (Kunal 60, Sriram five for 32) and 100 (Kunal 52, G. Kiran Kumar five for 15) lost to Continental 261 (Vamshi Raghava 57, Shiva 65, Vijay five for 48).

Team Speed 255 (Ramesh 45, Khasi Reddy 43, Sunil 45, G.V. Sridhar four for 95) drew with Gemini Friends 282 for seven (Shakeel 103, Revanth 42).

Oxford Blues 170 (Ravikanth 51, Pradeep five for 38, Dilip four for 22) drew with Gujarati 332 for eight (Abdul Fareed 136, Tejo Ganesh 63, Anil four for 131).

Schools league: New Stars 83 (K. Sainath three for 14) lost to WMCC 88 for no loss (Manish Jain 43not out).
Vinay to lead

D. Vinay Kumar will lead Hyderabad in the KSCA All India invitation cricket tournament in Bangalore from August 1 to 5. The players have been instructed to report at the Gymkhana Grounds from July 26 at 6.30 am.
