MCD removes spiritual centre

NEW DELHI: Following the directive of the Delhi High Court-appointed Monitoring Committee, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi removed a spiritual centre built on encroached public land at Shahoorpur village here on Thursday.

The MCD assisted the Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) in taking action against Raj Vidya Kendra which was constructed on land belonging to the Gram Sabha.

The MCD also sealed 16 commercial premises in Shahdara, 22 in Central Zone, 10 in South Zone, and five in West Zone.

This takes to 3,180 the total number of units sealed since resumption of the sealing drive in the Capital on March 28 this year.
