Three arrested

NEW DELHI: Three persons, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the murder of an elderly man at Lal Kuan here over the weekend.

Eighty-year-old Mohammad Haneef was found dead on the first floor of his house at Hauz Qazi on Sunday evening. Investigations revealed that he had recently fallen out with his daughter Kesar Bano over the division of his property.

According to the police, Kesar Bano’s son-in-laws Shakeel and Lukman tried to force Haneef to put his signature on some property documents and strangulated him when he refused. The property documents stolen by the two have been recovered, the police said.
