Bangalore: The death of a five-year-old kindergarten student of Vasavi Vidya Niketan, Sonia Singh, has made teachers and parents a little more cautious and concerned about their wards. The Hindu visited the Government Primary and Higher Primary School at Palace Guttahalli on Wednesday when the assembly was being conducted. The children were attentively listening to a child, who was reading out from a Kannada daily. T he “leader” was reading about the reportage on the death of little Sonia. “No matter how many times we tell them, they are not likely to listen to us. If we make them read the paper, they know it can happen to them and will be alert themselves,” said S.R. Vijayakumar, teacher of the school. This was the scene in another school in the city.
