More schools to get midday meal

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to extend midday meal facilities to all schools in the newly added areas coming under the civic body. At a coordination meeting of BBMP attended by Minister for Health and Family Welfare R. Ashok, Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner S. Subramanya, Minister for Medium and Heavy Industries Katta Subramanya Naidu and here on Thursday, it was also decided to provide electric crematoriums in the newly added areas. Issues such as providing drinking water supply, development of roads and drains, maintenance of street lights, and solid waste management. — Staff Reporter
