TDP seeks probe into fund diversion

Kakinada: TDP floor leader in Zilla Parishad Thota Navin has demanded a thorough probe into alleged irregularities in allocation of SGRY scheme funds involving an amount of Rs.1.64 crores and sought stern action against the officials responsible.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he alleged that the CEO was trying to hush up the whole matter by making lower rung staff as the scapegoats. In fact, he alleged that CEO should be held responsible for the lapses, instead of serving charge memos to the subordinates.
Mr. Navin also crticised the CEO for pleading ignorance about the reports appear in the media. “Is it proper on the part of the CEO to take things so lightly?” he asked.
