;A box item (PTI) “Cross-voting, open defiance mark election” accompanying the lead story “High turnout in Presidential poll” (July 20, 2007, page 1) stated that the Asom Gana Parishad is a partner of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA). The Asom Gana Parishad is a partner of the United National Progressive Alliance (UNPA).

;The caption of the accompanying AP photograph in a report “Rath Yatra overwhelms Puri” (“Newscape” page, July 17, 2007) was: “Religious Event: Devotees around Nandighosh, the chariot of Lord Jagannath, during the 130th Rath Yatra in Puri on Monday.” A reader points out that it was an error as the photograph showed the chariot of Devi Subhadra. The distinction lies in the colours of the cloth used to design the chariots. The chariot of Lord Jagannath, Nandighosh, is red and yellow, that of Devi Subhadra red and black (the one shown in the picture, and in the foreground), and that of Lord Balabhadra (in the background) red and green. (The photograph was published in some editions.)

;The heading of a report (“Business” page, July 17, 2007) was “TCS net up 36 p.c. at Rs. 1,203 cr.”, while the text gave the figure as Rs. 1,213 crore. The figure quoted in the text is right.
