Burglars’ trainer held

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A 22-year-old man who allegedly trained juveniles in committing burglaries has been arrested by the Delhi police in Mumbai. The police claim to have recovered 80 gm of stolen gold jewellery and other articles from him.

The Seemapuri police received a complaint from Radhika alleging that on June 27 some cash and jewellery were stolen from her house.

Five juveniles, including two girls, were subsequently arrested. During interrogation, they purportedly disclosed that a scrap dealer, Abdul Shahid, had taught them how to break into locked houses and commit burglary.

At the instance of Abdul, the children sneaked into Radhika’s house by breaking the ventilator and fled with cash and jewellery.
