Sabarimala temple closed

PATHANAMTHITTA: The five-day puja in the Malayalam month of Karkkidakom came to a close at the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple on Saturday evening with Melsanthi E. Eeswaran Namboodiri closing the sanctum sanctorum after the Athazhapuja. Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru performed Kalabhabhishekom.

The temple will be reopened on July 28 afternoon for the annual Niraputhari celebrations to be held the next day. The Niraputharipuja will be performed at the Sannidhanam between 6.20 a.m. and 6.45 a.m.
