Air quality tests

Tests of the city’s air quality conducted by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board between Wednesday and Thursday mornings showed that the quantity of respirable suspended particulate matter (RSPM) in the Vallalar Nagar traffic intersection was 113 microgram per cubic metre, above permissible limit of 100 microgram. In the tests conducted in the Adyar residential area, the RSPM was 41 microgram, says a release.
