Ansari filing papers tomorrow

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The United Progressive Alliance-Left candidate for Vice-President, Hamid Ansari, will file his nomination papers at 11 a.m on Monday. This was announced here on Saturday by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi.

The Cabinet Committee for Parliamentary Affairs was likely to meet on Monday to decide on the schedule for the month-long monsoon session of Parliament, which usually starts in mid-July.

The session was delayed in view of the forthcoming visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, as the Government was keen on having him address the Parliament, Mr. Dasmunsi said.

The Government would like to reciprocate the honour extended to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his Japan visit .
