Former naxal alleges harassment by police

Sangareddy: A former CPI (ML) Janasakthi dalam commander, Anasuya alias Padma, met the District Revenue Officer I.Prakashkumar here on Monday and complained against the Yeldurthy police for harassing her.
Padma, who surrendered to the Medak police during the tenure of SP B.Sujatha Rao, worked as a dalam commander in Jagityal of Karimnagar and Bheemgal of Nizamabad districts. She was a member of the Arunodaya cultural troupe till 2003. She went underground after the police killed her brother, Bala Goud, alias Suresh, in an encounter in 2005. Her brother’s death influenced her to surrender.
Padma, who was accompanied by her father Narayan Goud, told the DRO that the police were calling her on telephone and asking her to visit the police station at odd hours
