AIIMS hunger strike enters sixth day

NEW DELHI: The relay hunger strike by doctors belonging to the reserved category at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here entered its sixth day on Monday. They doctors are protesting against alleged discrimination during the recent selection of senior residents at the Institute.

Five doctors sat on dharna on Monday in front of the B. R. Ambedkar Library. Institute Director P. Venugopal met the protesting doctors on Saturday “but expressed his inability to meet any of our demands,” said Kapil Yadav of AIIMS.
