Three held for boy’s murder

KOLAR GOLD FIELDS: A boy from Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh was kidnapped and killed by throwing him alive into a sinkof the closed gold mines area. The victim has been identified as Ajit (7), son of Narayanappa, a cloth merchant in Kuppam. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs. 5 lakh for releasing the boy. But Ajit’s parents lodged a police complaint. On learning about it, they took the boy to a sink of BGML, near Tirapalli forest and threw him into it, the police said. In a joint operation, the Kuppam police and KGF police arrested three of the accused.
