Sri Venkateswara Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Thanjavur celebrated the triple functions of Educational Development Day, Bharathi Tamil Literary Club inaugural day and distribution of Tamil Nadu Government free text books to the matriculation students on July 14, Saturday. Rich tributes were paid to Kamaraj by the students through various cultural programmes at the function. Thanjavur District Educational Officer, V. Kumar, N. Periyasamy of Navalar Na. Mu. The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Aranthangi Central arranged a personality development programme for plus-two students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Aranthangi. A. B. Gurumoorthy, lecturer, MNSK College of Engineering and Devarajan, zone trainer, were the resource persons. The birth anniversary of late Kamaraj was observed as ‘Educational Development Day’ at the Ponmari Vidhyalaya Matriculation School at Pommadimalai near Pudukottai recently. A resource person, Krishnamoorthy, delivered a lecture on the life of late Kamaraj. Competitions on painting, poetry and essay-writing were held and prizes were given to the winners.
