Health check-up camp for legislators

Various government and private hospitals have set up 40 stalls at the Vidhana Soudha

Long wait: Doctors waiting for Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy’s arrival to inaugurate the health check-up camp for legislators at the Vidhana Soudha on Monday.

BANGALORE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy inaugurated a health check-up camp for legislators and government officials at the Banquet Hall of the Vidhana Soudha on Monday.

The five-day programme will end on Friday.

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Minto Hospital, Victoria Hospital, K.C. General Hospital, Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Narayana Nethralaya, M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, Vydehi Hospital and the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology set up 40 stalls for the camp. Posters on various diseases have been displayed in the hall.

Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Legislative Assembly Speaker Krishna, Health Minister R. Ashok, Labour Minister Iqbal Ansari and Fisheries Minister B. Nagaraj Shetty were present. Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly N. Dharam Singh and several legislators visited the stalls.
