Road accident victims seek aid

HYDERABAD: The Road Accident Victims Association on Monday requested the State Government to take initiative in getting financial assistance to passengers from private bus operators in case of accidents.
Its vice-president M. Nagaraju told reporters that passengers were facing untold hardship because of careless attitude of the private transport operators. Nine commuters suffered grievous injuries after a private bus overturned at Yellareddy village in Nalgonda district early on July 15.
The accident occurred due to rash driving by the bus driver, he said and added that even after requesting him to drive slowly, the driver did not oblige.
