Blueline knocks down pedestrian

NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old boy was knocked down and seriously injured by a Blueline bus at Badarpur here on Monday.

According to the police, the accident took place near the local police station around 6 p.m. when Tahir Khan, a pedestrian, was hit by the rashly driven Blueline bus.

The boy was rushed to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences where his condition was stated to be serious.

“The driver abandoned the bus and fled after the accident. The bus, which plies between Badarpur and Punjabi Bagh, has been impounded. A hunt has been launched for the driver,” police said.
