Isolated rain in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Lakshadweep, at many places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and north interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka. Miryalaguda (Nalgonda dt.) recorded heavy rainfall of 7 centimetres. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: Uthangarai, Karwar and Atchampet (Guntur dt) 6 each, Koyyalagudem (West Godavari dt), Rentachintala, Nagar Kurnool (Mahabubnagar dt) and Kota (Udupi dt) 5 each, Villupuram, Chengam and Sathanur dam (both Thiruvannamalai dt), Gudiyatham (Vellore dt), Kozhikode, Agathi Airport, Minicoy, Kavarathi, Guntur, Piduguralla (Guntur dt), Koilkuntla (Kurnool dt), Mangalore, Bangalore Airport, Mani (Dakshina Kannada dt) and Channapatna (Bangalore rural dt) 2 each and Kanchipuram, Arani (Thiruvannamalai dt), Tirupattur, Krishnagiri, Soolagiri (Krishnagiri dt), Yercaud, Valparai, Kozhikode Airport, Perinthalamanna (Malapuram dt), Devarakonda (Nalgonda dt), Dharmasthala, Mulki and Subramanya (all Dakshina Kannada dt), Bangalore, Raichur, Balehonnur and Jayapura (both Chickmagalur dt) 1 each.

FORECAST (valid until Wednesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over Lakshadweep, at many places over Kerala, coastal and south interior Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.
