Peres congratulates Pratibha

Jerusalem: Israel’s newly appointed President Shimon Peres has congratulated President-elect Pratibha Patil and has expressed his country’s desire to strengthen bilateral ties with New Delhi.

The Nobel Laureate told Ms. Patil that Israel greatly valued its relationship with New Delhi and viewed the strengthening of those ties to be of paramount importance, ‘Ynetnews’ reported. — PTI
