Australian GP to be second in F-1 calendar

MELBOURNE: Australian Grand Prix organisers have resisted pressure to stage a night Formula One race next year leading to the event losing its place as the season opener.

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation announced that the March 16 event in Melbourne would be the second race on the 2008 calendar . — Agencies
