CUB posts higher profits

CHENNAI: City Union Bank has reported a total income of Rs. 141.73 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 against Rs. 96.86 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year, a growth of 46.3 per cent. The operating profit has improved by 39.3 per cent to Rs. 37.40 crore from Rs. 26.84 crore and the profit after tax by 36.4 per cent to Rs. 21.36 crore from Rs. 15.66 crore.
