Autorickshaw overturns

VILLUPURAM: About 15 students, including those studying in kindergarten, were injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling overturned at Kanthadu near Marakkanam on Tuesday.

The police said the accident occurred when the speeding autorickshaw got into a pothole. The villagers took them to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the parents staged a road roko, urging the authorities to ensure that only licensed persons drive the autorickshaws, observing the speed limit and restricting the number of passengers. — Special Correspondent
