No-confidence motion

TIRUPUR: A no-confidence motion against president and vice-president of of Thirumurganpoondi town panchayat, on the outskirts of Tirupur, was passed in the special meeting held on Tuesday. President Gopal and vice-president Banumathi were belonging to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Nine councillors supported the move while five AIADMK councillors opposed to it. Namagiri, assistant director of Coimbatore Regional Town Panchayat Administration, presided over.
