ANANTAPUR: The indefinite hunger strike launched by a dozen leaders of CPI and CPI (M) here in support of their State leaders’ demanding house sites, houses and agriculture land for the poor continued on the second day on Tuesday. Several TDP leaders visited the indefinite fast camp and expressed their solidarity with the Left struggle. In support of the indefinite fast, the CPI (M) activists took out bicycle rallies from different colonies in the town and after mobilising at the Sapthagiri Circle they proceeded to the protest camp in front of the RDO’s office. Zonal in-charges of the party in the town led the bicycle rally. TDP leaders including district president of the party U. Hanumantharaya Chowdary and polit bureau member and former MP K. Srinivasulu and others visited the camp. Speaking at the protest camp, Mr. Srinivasulu alleged that the ruling party had done nothing for the poor except making tall claims of their welfare and development. He pointed out that not a single house was constructed in the town under Indiramma scheme during the last two years and no poor was given house site patta. Instead, the ruling party leaders were conspiring to occupy Government and private lands with their muscle power, he alleged. People would teach a fitting lesson to the Congress in the State at the right time. In Kadapa
