Hospital to be upgraded

CHICKBALLAPUR: The 100-bed government hospital here will be upgraded to a 250-bed hospital now that the Government has decided to form Chickballapur district, Director of the Health and Family Welfare Department M.S. Rudrappa said after visiting the hospital on Monday.

The district health officer’s (DHO) office will be situated in the old JMFC court complex and some of the staff from the Kolar DHO would be deputed here, he said. — Staff Correspondent
