Book on taxation released

NEW DELHI: A book on taxation by V. Gaurishanker was released by Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram here on Monday. “Escaping the Minotaur’s Labyrinth: The Principles of Taxation” deals with the basic principles of taxation and its underlying concepts.

Dr. Gaurishanker, an alumnus of Madras University and Delhi University, has served in the Indian Revenue Service and was formerly Secretary of the Central Board of Revenue. He was later transferred to the Indian Audit and Accounts Service.
