ANANTAPUR: One of the directors of Obulapuram Mining Company and one of the promoters of the proposed Brahmani Steel Company, G. Janardhana Reddy, on Tuesday stated that he would not take down the vendetta unleashed by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) against him lying down. Talking to newspersons at Rayadurg in the district after filing two defamation petitions against TDP leaders and publishers of two regional language newspapers he said he would take the fight into the TDP camp and would not rest until the party and its leaders were decimated politically and morally. He would launch a campaign against TDP in the public. Hard work
He claimed that he had built his business with sheer hard work since 2002 when he had taken iron ore mines on lease and started exporting it to China and other countries. He had made huge profits due to the heavy demand for the mineral in the international market and there was nothing illegal either about his mining activity or about his iron ore business. Trespass
The OMC director alleged that the TDP leaders had tried to trespass his mines without his permission initially by 10 and later by 40. It was not a public property after he had taken it on lease legally and anybody who would like to visit the mines would require his permission and also under the Mines Safety Act, he stated. The TDP leaders had acted like anti-social elements on both occasions.
