Mysore: A unbeaten century by opener Lakshman (108 not out, 15 x 4, 1 x 6) helped Sadvidya High School to register a narrow eight-run win over Rotary High School, Nanjangud in the Group C league encounter in the ACUK Mysore Forum’s District-level schools tournament at the Gangothri grounds here on Tuesday. A brilliant century by southpaw Sadiq Pasha (103, 14 x 4, 1 x 6) went in vain for Rotary. The scores: Group A: Sharada Public School, Mandya 59 in 24.3 overs (Siddu three for six) lost to Mahabodhi HS 62 for five in 15.3 overs (Naveen three for 15); DMS High school 78 in 19.2 overs (Suhas four for four) lost to Sree Cauvery High School 79 for four in 16.1 overs (Dhanush three for 15). Group C: Sadvidya High School 217 for two in 30 overs ( Lakshman 108 not out, Kushal 42) bt Rotary (N’gud) 209 for six in 30 overs ( Sadiq Pasha 103, Guruprasad 49); Ideal jawa Rotary School 60 in 19.5 overs ( Suchith four for 12 ) lost to Marimallappa’s High School 62 for no loss in 5.5 overs.
