Ganesh Satish’s unbeaten 124 and S. Vinodh’s unbeaten 90 helped President’s XI post 265 for two in 60 overs against Tumkur Zone in a S.A. Srinivasan Memorial under-22 inter-zonal tournament match that commenced here on Tuesday. The opening day’s play had a delayed start due to overnight rains and wet outfield and later there was also an early closure due to bad light and rain. It was a similar story in the other three matches too as the weather played truant. The scores: President’s XI 265 for two in 60 overs (Ganesh Satish 124 n.o., S. Vinodh 90 n.o.) vs Tumkur Zone. Shimoga Zone 199 for eight in 53 overs (B.R. Balasubramanyam 52, M. Nidish 49, Salauddin five for 87) vs Mysore Zone. Dharwad Zone 58 for two in 22 overs vs Bangalore Zone.
