KOCHI: The Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) has received the Sardar Patel award instituted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research for outstanding ICAR institutions. This is the second time that the institute has won the award, according to K.Devadasan, director of CIFT. He said the award was significant as it was given to the best institute among the 90 R&D institutions under the ICAR. The award was received by Mr.Devadasan from Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar at a function in New Delhi last week.
