PUDUCHERRY: Police have arrested an associate of the main accused in the illegal telephone exchange operation, which they busted a week ago. The man, Shyam Sundar, was working in a private telecom service provider and helped the main accused Manish in getting several SIM cards used for diverting international calls through broadband, according to police. Shyam, an engineering graduate from Coimbatore, had set up his own business establishment in Coimbatore after resigning from the company a few months ago. He has been remanded to judicial custody. However, police are still clueless about the whereabouts of the main accused. — Staff Reporter
