ABVP protesters beaten up

MALAPPURAM: A group of students belonging to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) were beaten up by the police on Wednesday when they tried to barge into the examination wing of Calicut University at Tenhipalam. They were protesting against the recent increase in university examination fee. Five protesters, including State joint secretary P. Sudheer, were taken into custody.
