Two sisters, brother commit suicide

Ludhiana: Two sisters and their brother committed suicide here on Wednesday, apparently upset over the settlement of marriage of one of the girls.

Police said Kamaljit Kaur (25), Paramjit Kaur (20) and Daljit Singh (16) entered into a suicide pact and consumed poison pact as they were not happy with the proposed marriage of Kamaljit.

Amarjit Singh, the father of the three and an employee of PWD, said he had fixed July 30 for the marriage of his elder daughter.
