CM inaugurates art exhibition on Jalayagnam

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated an art exhibition on Jalayagnam on the Assembly premises.

The Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues, Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy complimented the artist for the 16 paintings, which were made on behalf of Padmamohana Art Theatres to coincide with its 17th anniversary.

The water colour and acrylic paintings by Srinuji depict the transformation of rural Andhra Pradesh once the irrigation projects are commissioned.

The paintings show lush green fields, farm workers getting ready for work and water flowing from projects.
