Minority colleges under scanner

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Government has decided to constitute a committee to look into the alleged irregularities committed by a group of Christian minority colleges that conducted its own entrance test and made admissions into MBA and MCA courses.

Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education Chairman K.C. Reddy said the Judges Committee also sought some clarifications on several “discrepancies” in the admission process of minority colleges. He said nine candidates were registered but were not admitted. Similarly, non-minority seats were not offered to minority students in some colleges.
