Wakf land at Pahadi Sharif not allotted to Lanco Hills, says Minister Shabbir Ali


HYDERABAD: The second phase of Krishna drinking water supply project to the city would be completed by September-October, Municipal Administration Minister Koneru Ranga Rao informed the Legislative Council during Question Hour on Wednesday.

Replying to a question by K. R. Amos (Congress), he said the second phase was aimed at bringing 90 million gallons a day (MGD) of water.

Daily water supply

The Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board was currently engaged in executing the works of the project and also those pertaining to construction of reservoirs and distribution mains.

He assured that the third phase would be taken up after completion of the second as the Government wanted to ensure daily supply of the water to Greater Hyderabad.

The Government was also examining the feasibility of bringing Godavari waters on a permanent basis to ensure that there was no water scarcity.

ESI hospital

Labour Minister G. Vinod said that a 120-bed super-speciality E.S.I hospital would be set up in Sanathnagar in city in three months. Answering a query by Y. Sivarami Reddy (Congress), he denied that there was shortage of medicines in ESI dispensaries in the State.

Wakf land issue

Minorities welfare Minister Mohammed Shabbir Ali told Padma Raju (Congress) that Government was taking all steps to protect Wakf properties in the State.

He denied that Wakf lands belonging to Hazarath Baba Sharfuddin at Pahadi Sharif, Ranga Reddy district, was allocated to Lanco Hills Technology Park.
