Special Correspondent
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala committee of the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) has favoured acceptance of all title deeds issued with the approval of Land Assignment Committees, comprising representatives of all political parties. “ Briefing reporters after a meeting of the LDF State committee here on Wednesday, front convener Vaikom Viswan said there was nothing wrong with the title deeds issued by the Land Assignment Committees observing all due processes and added that all other title deeds issued in violation of the relevant provisions must be visited sternly. The LDF, he said, was particular that all encroachments in Munnar must be evicted. The eviction operations had to be suspended due to inclement weather, but would be resumed with renewed vigour once the weather improved. Mr. Viswan said the LDF wanted either the Cabinet sub-committee on self-financing colleges or the Chief Minister himself to hold a dialogue with Church leaders to remove their apprehensions about the Government’s intentions in the field of education.
