Two killed in bridge collapse

MALAPPURAM: Two persons were killed and three others injured, one seriously, when a footbridge across the Cannolly Canal collapsed at Cheeran Beach near Tanur on Thursday evening. The victims were identified as Nishad, 27, son of Mamukoya from Nainanvalappil and Vineet, 26, son of Tami from Kolkandathil House. Both belonged to Tanur.
