Launches pilot projects in five universities

To provide technology-enabled learning services

HYDERABAD: Adayana Inc, a learning services company based in the US with operations in Hyderabad, has announced a set of initiatives to help address the critical skills shortage faced by industries in the country.

The company has partnered with Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) to train workers over the next one decade for employability in the automotive industry. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Adayana CEO Rajiv Tandon said automobile majors like Tata Motors, Hero Honda and other companies had tied up to provide skill development training programmes for their workers.

“We plan to train 2.5 million people over the next one decade,” he added.

Pilot projects

Stating that similar initiatives had been planned, Dr. Tandon said his company had launched pilot projects in five universities across the country to train graduates in skill development.

“In the coming few years, nearly 300 universities will be covered,” he added.

“The idea is to provide students employability skills which combined with technical skills make trainees job-ready,” he pointed out.

Adayana would provide a range of technology-enabled learning services to a focussed set of vertical markets that included automotive services, defence, food, agriculture and life sciences,” he explained.
