Hospitals resent CGHS tariff
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Speciality Hospitals Association has urged Union Health Minister A. Ramadoss to fix a reasonable tariff under Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) contending that the recently released rates were not feasible and viable.
Addressing a press conference here, G. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director, Yashoda Hospitals and core committee member, said the new tariff was appallingly low and hospitals would not be able to render services.
The rates were lower than that of the previous year and there was resentment among the hospitals.
Mr. Ravinder and other core committee members said that they would represent the matter to the Union Health Minister.
They also urged the State Government to withdraw the recently levied luxury tax on hospitals.
